As I was driving to our ladies Bible study, the Lord said to me “strong shoulders.” I immediately thanked Him for His strong shoulders and began praising Him in the car.
Then when our meeting began and we were worshiping Him, He impressed on my spirit the fact that a shoulder was a joint. He asked me if I knew that Jesus’ shoulders were a source of supply.
“Speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.” Ephesians 4:15-16.
Jesus is our source! He is our supply! As a good shepherd, He reaches down, lifts us up and places us above the fray and on His strong shoulders. And He never takes us off of His shoulders and puts us back down. We remain in our position.
He’s not carrying us as a fireman carries someone out of a burning building. No, He’s lifted us up and seated us on His shoulders. We’re placed above circumstances. We’ve been positioned above. And as we’re seated, we’re being supplied with everything we need!
Isaiah 9: 6 says, “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
The strong shoulders of Jesus bore the brunt of it all so that we don’t have to. Remember that you are positioned above because of where Jesus has placed you. His strong shoulders are supplying your every need.
